More than just another epicurean box, though, Nonna Box goes deeper: From Piedmont to Lombardy, Tuscany and beyond, each monthly box focuses on a new Italian region and features curated food products, gastronomic history and culture cards, and, best of all, a real local nonna (grandma) who shares her personal story and favorite recipes!
Each recipe makes use of one or more box items, and also comes with a wine pairing recommendation from our in-house Italian sommelier. Box recipients can travel and taste Italy each month, or gift it as a one-time experience!
Nonna Box is a monthly subscription or a one time adventure of carefully curated gourmet Italian products that highlight a different region each month. Your box will ship on the 11th of each month, and be at your
Each box includes 6 full-size, imported, and hard-to-come-by Italian products from the month’s featured region. A local nonna from the selected region will share her story and her 3 favorite recipes (some of the recipes will use the box’s products).
Your box comes with cards that detail regional culinary tradition, the box’s products and their local importance, as well as serving suggestions and Italian regional wine pairings from an Italian sommelier.
As you eat your way through Italy, you’ll learn about authentic regional culture and cuisine.

Absolutely amazing
By DonnaI have been subscribed for three months and I love their boxes. There’s a variety of items in each box, always a pasta and a sauce to combine in a recipe. Cookies and spreads, but also caponata and extra virgin olive oil. I understand that getting these products imported from Italy must be really hard and very expensive and I certainly like the fact that there’s so much thought behind it. Good work.

Don't subscribe!
By LeighI subscribed as a 6 box subscriber to get the discount. After two boxes, I only had one product I like. At $80, that’s just too much, so I unsubscribed. That’s when I found out “At this time, we are unable to process refunds for the 3-month and 6-month prepay plans once you’ve received your first box. You can, however, cancel your subscription (prior to the renewal date) so that it doesn’t renew once the 3 or 6 months have passed.”
I’m out $240 for a product that I really, really dislike. If you want to try it, stick with one box. However, there are much better products out there. And Nonna seems determined to concentrate on sugary items, at least based on the two boxes I got. The first box I thought, “Well, it’s Christmas so I’ll see what January has.” Still awful.
